When she was little, Sami used to play with a little boy that she used to call "her older brother." She still remembers the boy vividly. Eighteen years later, her parents told her that she had an older brother that had passed away before she was born. Her grandmother, a third-generation clairvoyant herself, recognized Sami's ability and encouraged her relentlessly.
For instance, starting when she was five years old, she showed remarkable insight while scrying with tea leaves, and as she got older she began throwing spreads of regular poker cards. As she got more interested in the occult due to her youthful experiences, she bought herself a Tarot deck. She ended up not using it for over three years as she found it too colorful and complicated. However, one day her best friend came to her crying and obviously in a bind. Since it was the only tool she had at hand, she threw some Tarot spreads. Her friend called her the next day and she told her that everything she had said in relation to the cards had come to pass. This validation instilled some much-needed self-confidence in Sami, and she began reading for most of her friends, eventually quit her job and focused on assisting others on a professional, permanent basis.
